One of the best concerts I've ever been to. The singer's voice is like something from another world. As I was standing there watching him sing it was like witnessing someone who was doing the one thing they were put on this earth to do. Not often but every once in awhile I'll see something, read a line in a book, see a scene in a movie, a painting, etc.. that blows me away or takes my breath away or leaves me standing there in awe. Seeing him sing was one of those moments.
Sure the cello bow on the guitar was great, the obscure foreign instruments were great, the 2 video projections going at the same time - 1 from behind and 1 in front of the stage was crazy. The band was good but nothing without him singing.
all I can say is wow. what a voice.
the funniest thing about this is that I don't understand a word he says.. since he speaks icelandic.

it occured to me today after lunch when I had to burn 30 dvds, finish 2 video edits, read a 40 page script for a bid, re-encode 7 quicktimes to DV format for editing and it was 2:50pm and it had to be done by 5pm..
I'm was browsing the web and chatting on ichat...
...it occured that maybe I'm addicted to being busy. hm.
so in the middle of it all, I make a LJ entry. |
